About This Web Site

... and about Dave Gutteridge

... written in the third person by himself

Dave is a stand up and improv comedian living in Tokyo Japan. He performs in English and Japanese, and hopes to publish a book about humour in the near future.

In the day job department, he does graphic design and art, writing, web site development, and occasionally things like video editing. And, as opposed to many graphic artists who claim to be able to do coding but really just copy and paste JavaScript, Dave can actually do programming.

He also has a surplus of opinions, and conflicting ambitions.

More than anything else, Dave likes to tell stories, whether it's in writing, pictures, or whatever media tells it best.

This web site is the repository of Dave's random writings, and anything else that he feels like putting here.

Autotelic?

"Autotelic" comes from the Greek "auto~", meaning "self" and "~telos", meaning to exist. The definition is "having a purpose in and not apart from itself". In other words, this site is just here to be here, take it or leave it.
