Linux on Caprica

While it was only a small detail in the background, it was revealed in the Battlestar Galactica spinoff series Caprica, that the technology that led to the Cylons destroying most of the human race was developed on Linux. Maybe we're safer in a world where you can't get anything to work effectively on Windows.
"All this source code as been opened before, and will be opened again."
It was almost certainly just one of the the books that happened to be on hand when the prop team set the stage, but still... if the Mac guys can lay claim to "Wall-E", we're taking the Cylons.
I guess that means using Linux wrong can lead to the genocide of billions of people. Hey, it's very powerful system. But, done right, you can build a Six, or an Eight...
"By your command" as the new Linux tag line?
